Spring Break and Easter

We decided since the weather wasn't cooperating that we would do smaller spring break "day trips" this year. A few of my girlfriends and their kids were with us. We decided we'd better have a few ways to entertain the kids for our week-long break.

The first day we went to an indoor pool that was amazing! It had lots of things that the kids could play on and slide down. Every few minutes and huge bucket would dump water on the structure and spray the kids. They had a little kid area with slides, a lazy river and a fun waterslide for bigger kids. Davin, Aaron and I ventured on the big waterslide and it was a blast! I went with Aaron and didn't realize he could hang on that tight! It was dark inside the slide so it was a little scary. Davin went right behind us (by himself) and said he was a little scared until he heard us laughing from inside the slide. I guess he decided it was probably okay after that. We spent hours at the pool and had a lot of fun! I've decided the next time I have the winter "blahs", I am just taking a trip to this pool!

The main pool "structure". The kids could spray each other and control the spray with the wheels.

Here is Nathan flying down the kiddie slide!

Day 2- We went to Jumpin' Jacks. It was full of those inflatable slides and jumping things for the kids. Before we were in there two seconds, the kids were off climbing up slides and Nathan was flying down the biggest slide in the place all by himself! He is so funny! No fear in that kid! The boys were able to use up lots of energy in this place while the moms were able to visit and watch from the sidelines.

My cute girlfriends! Alisa was with us too, but not pictured here.

The 3 older boys in front of one of the slides. What a fun place!

Day 3- We were off to visit the Dinosaur Museum. I had never been there before but had always wanted to take the boys. This place just went on forever and had tons of fun things to investigate and look at. The boys had a blast and I just tried my best to keep up with them!

This dinosaur was huge and spanned the entire room!

Nathan and his cousin C.J. playing in the sand and water. My sister Britt met us for the day and it was a lot of fun to hang out with her.

After all the fun, we had our parents watch the kids and a few of us went shopping and out to dinner! That was SO much fun!! As much as I love playing with my kids, there is nothing like shopping and good conversation with your girlfriends to restore your soul!

The next day we hung out with family and watched conference. It was nice to have a sort of "down" day. The kids had lots of fun coloring Easter eggs and playing lego's in Grandma's amazing play room downstairs.

Easter morning the boys found their Easter baskets and searched for Easter eggs. Then we watched General Conference. I love conference! It always uplifts me. This time I heard a lot about allowing God's will to be our will. At some points in my life I feel I can completely accept His will, no matter what it means for me. This feeling is often fleeting though and I really just hope that my will and His are the same and that I am able to be healed and restored and live a long life enjoying my little family.

My parents were such troopers letting us stay with them for such a long time. 4 little boys can wear just about anyone out, especially for 5 days! They love having them there and the kids just adore them. We had our whole family there for Easter dinner on Sunday and it was really nice. Thanks for all of your hard work to make it so special for us mom and dad!
My mom was able to talk to her mom and exchange the Easter greeting they do every year in German. My Grandma is in her final battle with breast cancer and it is tender to talk to her. She has fought for over 20 years and is now getting tired. I love her so much and hope she has a lot of peace and angels attending her at this time. Love you Grams!

I am so glad it's finally spring! This winter has seemed extremely long for me! It is refreshing to be out in the sun and seeing my tulips and daffodils come up. I am so nervous for my scan next week but hopefully things look good and I am able to have some encouraging news. I will post when I know something.

Wow, no wonder you were wearing down towards the end there. That is A LOT to do over a few days times! Your boys are so wonderful, I just love them :) Just remember, you have been told what God's will is with you. Your bishops blessing said it all, and I think you and God are on the same page! Now you just have to be courageous and fight through allllll the crap!! WAY easier said than done. I have faith in you, and I am here to push your tush anytime you get too tired!! LOVE YOU
