Last Pool Day

We didn't make it to the pool as much as we wanted to this summer. There is a group of us who try to go once a week, but this summer, "Meltdown Tuesday" (a.k.a. = my kids were whining and fighting and driving me crazy) became a frequent occurrence at our house and made it too overwhelming to pack up 4 kids, all the floatie devices, sunblock, snacks, towels, swim diapers, life jackets, more snacks, & drinks etc... Once we actually managed to get to the pool, it was lots of fun! The kids love splashing around in the shallow part with all the water features. Nathan loves to sit and play in the shallow part or run across the slippery tiles and scare mom. The last picture is my friend Mollie's husband, Josh. Mollie and I were freaking out because we thought there was a huge bee flying around our heads. We then realized that it wasn't a bee, but a dragonfly. Josh laughed at us and said, "Just let it land!" Well, it did, right on his face! We laughed so hard! It was a fun and final swim day in the sun and although I'm always sad to see summer go, I'm always ready for the fall when it comes too.

Your pictures always look so good. They're always so crisp and clear. I am sad to see the summer go to. Hopefully we'll be invited to pool day next year too even though we won't be living in the neighborhood.

Sad... I don't want summer to be over! That is so funny about the dragon fly... I thought it was something on my lap top and I tried wiping it off! Your boys are so cute... even if they can be a handful. Love you. Miss you!

I can remember about two or three weeks ago thinking, I can't wait until summmer is over! Now that it really is almost over I don't know that I have had enough summer time fun, go figure. Your kiddos are too cute for words, and the dragonfly story and pic is hilarious!
