It was our 11 year anniversary on 08/08/08 this year! Jason surprised me with roses a few days before our anniversary. We met him for lunch one day and he brought out two roses when he brought out our drinks. I asked him what they were for and he said, "Just because". Then the next day he gave me three more and I was really surprised again. He said I needed one for each of my boys, including him. The next day you can imagine how surprised I was when I found five more lying on the table for me! They were so pretty and I love roses! That made ten roses in all. He gave me the 11th rose the night before our anniversary. 11 roses for 11 years. It was really sweet of him!
On our anniversary, we headed up to my parents and dropped off the kids and went to Little America for lunch. We met my grandparents there to celebrate my grandpa's birthday too. It was so nice and quiet there, that's what I kept thinking. Lunch was really good and it was fun to visit with my grandparents. We headed downtown to the gateway shopping center. Neither of us had ever been there before and it was fun to walk and shop (without any kids)! We then went to IKEA and loved looking around there. For dinner we went to Pei Wei and Jason made me eat my entire meal with chopsticks. That was funny! He was really good at it, but I never quite figured it out... It was a really fun day just the two of us. Thanks mom and dad for watching the kids for us! We love you! It seems like the time has gone by so fast, I can't believe we've been married that long. We have had lots of laughs and lots of tears to go along with the laughs, but it has been a fun journey. I am so grateful for our darling children and that I can be their mom and that Jason makes it so I can stay home with them. Thank you Jas for all you do for our family!

Congrats! 11 years, that's crazy!! So I went to PG the other day when I was in Ephraim because I've been craving it forever! I only got a smoothie but it was as amazing as I remember! Also, when I walked in it was like I was back in time (well, a couple years anyway) I was so happy that it smelled the exact same, i love that smell!! Now, if only the girl would have let me make my own smoothie :)
Wow 11 years. Happy Anniversary! Sounds like you two had fun. And that was really sweet of Jason!
I am so happy for you Am...I knew he still had it in him to be romantic. I loved hearing about your date...Sounds like you had so much fun and your totally right about the quite thing. Sometimes I don't think we realize as mothers exactly how different our lives are from the rest of the real world. Here's to another 11 happy years.

How sweet! It's amazing when these rough tough men come up with such cute, sentimental ideas. Congrats on making it 11 years and for planning on making it for eternity!
