Draper Temple

Our Family

My Grandparents and Parents

My family with my cute little niece, Morgyn.

I wanted to take my kids to the Draper Temple open house before it was too late, so on Monday we headed up and saw it. The weather was not cooperative (of course) but we made the trek anyway. My parents and grandparents met us there. It was so beautiful. When Nathan saw the baptismal font he yelled "Oh! Cows!!" (There are oxen at the base of the font) The kids loved the baptismal font and the chandelier in the Celestial room the best. I loved all the artwork, the sego lilies, stained glass and of course, the Celestial room. It was fun when we were in the sealing room to show the kids the mirrors that go on forever. I was glad that I was able to let the kids see what the inside of the temple is like. I don't know how much of it they will remember, but I am glad we did it. They loved the cookies afterward and Grandpa's lifesavers seem to never run out. We wanted to go out to eat with my family afterwards, but the snow storm was crazy and we decided to just head back. When is Spring going to finally get here anyway??? I was pretty disappointed. We almost drove longer than we visited. I really don't like doing that. It was still really nice and I'm glad I had the opportunity.

That is awesome that you were able to take your kids! I wish we would have gone up there, but I enjoyed it with the Young Women. It is beautiful and I loved how large the sealing room was! I also loved the sego lilies!
