Santa showing Nathan his bell
Santa and Collin & Aaron. They are exited to see him!
We went to our Ward Christmas party last night and it was a lot of fun. There was a performance by the LD Singers, the food was great and the kids actually behaved themselves. After dinner, the kids could hardly contain themselves waiting for SANTA! He came Ho-ho-ho-ing in and the kids were all ecstatic! We ran up to see him and before long the kids smelled an impostor!! I watched as Davin inspected his tennis shoes under his fake boot covers with disbelief. The man could not keep his beard on either!! It was a sad performance... I did get a cute picture of him with Nathan, but he hurried Davin by so fast that I didn't even get a picture with him. In the picture with the twins you can see that his nose is poking out where his mouth was supposed to be. I guess I should give him some credit, it wouldn't be easy to pull off Santa and I'm sure it was hot and uncomfortable. I just felt so bad for the kids. When we got home Davin said that it wasn't the real Santa because he didn't have real boots, a real beard, and most importantly, he didn't ask him what he wanted for Christmas. It broke my heart. He didn't ask any of the kids what they wanted for Christmas. I told the kids we'd write a quick letter to Santa so that he would know. The things we do to try and keep the magic alive a few more years!

The nose through the beard is pretty funny! Kind of like not knowing that you fly is down kind of thing. Davin is way too smart to be fooled! If you need to send off your letters to Santa, I know his address ;)
Kind of, kind of. I just re-read my post. It's too late to make my comments grammatically correct. Love ya!
Cute pictures, nonetheless, and yes, Davin notices DETAILS like his Mom.That's what makes a great artist!
I am laughing so hard at that picture as I type of his nose sticking through where the mouth should be. I was feeling bad that we weren't able to make it to the party, mainly because I wanted my boys to see Santa, but I guess I don't feel so bad now ;)
i noticed his beard on wrong the second i saw the pic before i even read what you wrote :)! santa's need to go to a training school or something! hehe. that is WAY sad though that he didn't ask the kids what they wanted!!!??
What a sad excuse for a Santa!!! I'm sure there were loads of kids who had the same experience. Good thing your kids have the REAL Santa to look forward to and a great Mom to help them through the rough spots!
What a bummer for the kids. The picture with his nose through the beard is too funny!
Those are cute pics of your kids! You are such a good mom to come up with a way to smooth things over for Davin!
HA HA! Cute pics. And what a crummy santa. Tremayne and I aren't going to tell our kids that Santa is real... I know are we really weird? It's a long story, but good job Davin for knowing a fake when he sees one!
That's cute that your boys knew what was going on. I don't think I'd be a good Santa. But I'd hope I'd remember to ask them what they want for Christmas. =)
