The kids with their cookies for Santa
Nathan holding baby Jesus
Nathan putting baby Jesus in his manger
Aaron talking on the phone in the new kitchen set they got
Collin with his laser gun he asked for from Santa
Nathan seeing if Collin's laser gun also unwraps presents...
Davin got playmobil sets from mom & dad
Aaron got an RC truck from Santa
Jas with his handle bar grips for his motorcycle (which he already knew about) Dang, it's hard to shop for this guy!
The grand kids at Grandma's house
Davin got a big Lincoln log set from Grandma & Grandpa. Aaron & Collin got some too that came in these cute little backpacks, which we had to pry off of them later!! They wore them around all day!
Jas was so sweet to get me something he can barely pronounce and that he has no clue what it does. True love, I'm telling ya!
Delly getting Rock Band 2!

Grandma Marion showing her Rockin' talents on the drums! Who's Grandma is this fun?

The older grand kids at Pappy's with their Sugar Daddy's. They all got them, and I'm not sure why. It made a funny picture though.

Davin giving Daniel his present. It was a Matchbox car Christmas! I think we gained over 40 new cars this year! The kids love them and each one is it's own currency. So funny!
Christmas at our house is always lots of fun because of our children. They bring magic and life to the holiday and are at the most fun ages. We have several traditions that we do every year. We always make cookies for Santa, which the kids love. We always open one present (that is always new Jammie's) and we read from Luke about the Savior's birth. After Luke, we put the baby Jesus in the manger. Nathan was the one to do that this year, but everyone else had to have a turn too, so He got put in the manger four times!! We read the Polar Express and then had eggnog. Davin didn't like eggnog at all, but everyone else seemed to. Christmas morning is always lots of fun. The kids got a kitchen set from Santa complete with play food of every kind. When you put a pot on the stove it sounds like it really "boils" or "sizzles". The kids got lots of fun toys and games and most importantly, what they asked for from Santa, so they were thrilled. The boys also bought a present for each other with money they earned themselves. It was so fun to see what they picked for each other. I helped them wrap them and that was so cute. Aaron picked a blue bow for Collin, since he likes blue. We will do this again, I loved it! After we did stockings and ate breakfast, we went to my parents home to celebrate some more. It was a little scary travelling up there! Jas did awesome driving in the slush and avoiding all the idiot drivers on the road. I spent most of the drive clinging to the door and trying not to make my fear audible. We had lots of fun at Grandma's house and the kids got more fun things. My mom's new made-over basement looks awesome! It was so nice and cozy down there for Christmas. Jas surprised me by getting me a Cuddlebug (dry embosser and die cutter)! I just mentioned it to him in passing and I can't believe he remembered. He had my mom be an elf and pick it up for him so I wouldn't know. We had agreed that we would just fill each others stockings this year and not worry about big gifts. He never listens to me! It was really sweet, but it makes me feel like a loser because I didn't do more for him. My sister Dellany got Rock Band 2 and that became the sole entertainment after dinner. My Grandparents came over and my Grandma wanted to play drums! It was so fun! She is so funny! We didn't stay long because there was another storm coming through that night. It was so hard to leave, we had so much fun! Thanks Mom & Dad and Grandma & Grandpa for everything! We made it home safe and got ready for the next big event. The Rhodes family party was on Saturday and everyone came down for it. It was at Jason's dad's and we played some word games and then ate dinner and had a gift exchange for the kids and then read Christmas stories. It was fun to see everyone and spend a little time together. Thank you Dad & Lisa for your hospitality. Our kids always love to see their cousins and we love the late night chats with the adults. We had a really fun Christmas and are now looking forward to the new year and.... Spring Break! Love the snow, just not for very long. I hope everyone had a great holiday too!
