8 Things about Aaron & 8 Things about Collin

Aaron and Collin were tagged by Alexis Dart so here we go...

8 things about Aaron...

1. Aaron is the second child in our family and was born first of the twins. They are identical in case you couldn't tell. He was born a month early and weighed in at 5 lbs. 5 oz. He has always had a lot of energy, even in-utero! His full name is Aaron David Rhodes. He was named after my dad. He was a really good baby for me (which is good because I felt a little overwhelmed with the twins because Davin was only 21 months when they arrived)

2. Aaron loves to do anything with sports and seems to be pretty good at it. He is in T-ball with his brothers and is so excited to get playing some games. He loves his T-ball mitt and even slept with it the first few nights!

3. He is very outgoing and is usually the leader of the pair most of the time. He loves to play with friends, be around other people and to go do something fun. He is always excited to try something new.

4. He loves to hoard toys. He loves his legos and will hoard the "special" ones. There are legos at our house that have value above all others. When I go to make his bed I will find all sorts of little "treasures" hidden in his bed. It's so funny!

5. He is very generous. I often see him sharing a toy or giving up a bike or swapping one toy for another just so someone else can play with it. This doesn't always happen because he is still three, but I've seen it often. I hope he always has this attribute as he grows older.

6. His favorite colors are orange and red. His favorite food is Peanut butter and honey sandwiches and chocolate chip cookies. His favorite things to do are: ride his bike, play in his sandbox, watch Dora and play with dad. His favorite people are: Grandpa Carroll and Dad. He loves them both because they are always ready to do something fun. Grandpa always has a lifesaver treat for him and will take him to McDonald's for ice cream and Dad is always good for a date to get a drink or a motorcycle or 4-wheeler ride.

7. He almost knocked his front tooth out once! He was trying to get up on my bed and hit it on my nightstand. There are still two little Aaron teeth imprints there for posterity! I was sure he would lose it and have to look like a hillbilly until his big teeth came in! Luckily, it was fine and the color came back. No hillbilly for me! I guess I have to watch him closer or just get some great health insurance!

8. He is a picky eater, unless there is sugar involved. He has a big sweet tooth! He can only be coaxed to eat his dinner if there is a possibility of ice cream or a cookie. Then, he will choke it down to get his reward. He is so funny with so much personality! We love having him in our family!

8 Things about Collin...

1. Collin is our 3rd child but only by 9 minutes! He was born second when the twins were born. He weighed in at 5 lbs. 2 oz. and was my tiniest baby. He has such a sweet personality and was a quiet and good baby. His full name is Collin James Rhodes. He is named after Jason's dad.

2. He is very independent and is often found quietly playing in his room imagining or building monstrous lego towers! He could play with them for hours! He loves to play with his brothers too, but he can definitely entertain himself and sometimes probably wants to be left alone!

3. He is very sensitive and sweet. Sometimes too sensitive. He is a little more shy than Aaron and does not like to be in front of people in a large group. I had to give his talk for him in primary a while ago!

4. He loves hugs and kisses like most kids do but he usually can't go to bed unless he's given us several hugs and kisses! (It's probably mostly an excuse to get out of bed that we just can't get mad at him for)

5. Collin's favorite colors are blue and black. His favorite foods are pizza, ice cream cones, grapes and cheeze-its. He loves to play in the sandbox, go camping and color. His favorite people are Grandpa Carroll (again), dad and maybe me! He loves grandpa and dad because they are fun to be with. (lifesavers, I'm telling you are the way to a 3 year olds heart) He probably loves me because I give the best hugs and am always there for him.

6. Collin also knocked the same tooth Aaron did in the tub! That's a weird coincidence! Maybe it's a twin thing... His still has some discoloration so maybe we will have to pull it and have a hillbilly kid after all! He also has already had stitches once! What am I going to do with all these boys?

7. Collin is very photographic. I think all of my kids are pretty photographic, but Collin is just a natural at it. He is always smiling and makes the cutest poses. It makes taking pictures of him so much fun.

8. He is very caring and loving. He can be a firecracker at times, but when it comes down to it, he really cares about his brothers and family and will stand up for them. I hope he is always like this. Collin is a lot of fun and we are so glad that he is ours!
