I'd have to say that 2009 was a rough year for us. I'm hoping that 2010 brings better days. Just before the new year our dryer went out. (Not starting things out so well...) The good thing is, our old washer and dryer were 13 years old and getting something new is fun. Nathan has enjoyed watching the wash go around and around. So far the new set has been great and I even find myself mesmerized by them from time to time too.
In other news, people are LAME. Today we realized that someone had burglarized our business last night. I know times are tough, but come on! Don't they think how this might affect us and our family? As if we didn't have enough to worry about, right? It is just disheartening to say the least. The police do have some evidence and are looking for suspects. They broke into one safe and took the other. The amount of the cash inside has yet to be determined. It makes you feel totally violated and creepy. I hope they catch the idiot that did this to our safe.
(The dirt is the fingerprinting dust)
Anyway... it's been a while since I've posted. We had a really fun New Year's and Christmas! We celebrated New Year's with some friends and played games and ate snacks. The kids even stayed up till midnight without getting really grouchy! We did fireworks at midnight and then crashed into our beds afterward. Staying up that late is hard for me too. Thanks Cox Family for such a fun party!
We had a really great Christmas! The kids were so excited to see that Santa brought us a Wii! It was the only thing Davin asked for, and the twins asked for a game to go with it. (Conspiracy? maybe.) I loved watching their excitement as they opened their presents. That is what makes Christmas so fun for parents. They even got a bell from Santa's sleigh this year! They thought that was pretty cool.

On Christmas morning we went to visit my family and had another celebration there. It was so fun to visit and see everyone. Cassidy and Danny made an awesome DVD of our family memories. I am so excited that she taught me how to do it so I can make our own little family DVD's too.
Here is a random picture that I found on my camera. Thanks Jon. I love it!
I know my mom is going to kill me when she sees I've posted this, but I love it! How cute is she?We had so much fun with them. Thanks mom and dad for a great Christmas! We love you!
The next day we had a Rhodes family Christmas party at Paul's house. It was lot of fun too. My boys all got motorcycle jerseys from Charles' family (I am in trouble). Davin got a really cool car design kit from Pap and Lisa and the white elephant gift exchange was loads of fun. Stetson cologne was a hot ticket item (again) and the marbles that mysteriously appeared in Shannon's camper found their way back to our house. (he he he) We'll see where they end up next. Thanks for hosting a great party Paul and Stacie, it was lots of fun!

The girls
I hope you had a great holiday and that 2010 is a great year for everyone. I am looking forward to warmer weather (hopefully sooner than later this year) and I want work on accomplishing a few things on my "bucket list". Some of the items are: Taking the kids to Disneyland, writing a personal history, simplifying my home and going to the temple at least once a month.
Happy New Year!!

Hey! We have twinners! I'm so glad you guys went for it and got some new ones. I am so sorry Am, I can't believe they would go to such lengths to get into that safe. I hope you guys find whoever did it and are able to get it all replaced, more importantly make the scum feel the GUILT of what they did. If only you could really make someone like that realize the extent of their actions, sigh, in the next life maybe! Cute cute cute pics. At least you are surrounded by love from so many people! Here is to a GREAT year, all this other crap is just the hang over from 2009... :D
I'm with you and Dell...we NEED a better year! Love your pics (at least most of them) and love you all too!
I'm for a better year too (and catching the creap that robbed the Pizza Gallery)!
I think 2009 was a good year to leave behind and start fresh for many. I hope this year brings you many blessings! You deserve them. I'm glad you had a good Christmas! I wish we could have seen you guys! Maybe next time you're up we'll have to get together? Your boys are getting so big and handsome!
beautiful family!! I'm envious of your new dryer! Mine is going on 17 years old. Man that thing was build to last, it just won't die!
