I felt like a teenager again as my girlfriends and I headed up to watch New Moon together. We ate dinner and then got psyched for the movie. I thought it followed the book really well and I liked it for the most part. The actress that portrayed Bella was bugging me with her "flitty eyes" and trouble getting a sentence out of her mouth! Besides that, it was good and most of all a good excuse to get away.

I felt like a teenager again as my girlfriends and I headed up to watch New Moon together. We ate dinner and then got psyched for the movie. I thought it followed the book really well and I liked it for the most part. The actress that portrayed Bella was bugging me with her "flitty eyes" and trouble getting a sentence out of her mouth! Besides that, it was good and most of all a good excuse to get away.
We stayed at my friend Erin's parents home overnight. I can't remember the last time I had a slumber party... must have been in high school! It was so much fun! We stayed up talking till 2:30 a.m. (and paid for it the next day) In the morning Erin's parents made us a delicious breakfast and we were headed off to go shopping! A huge thank you to Erin's parents for their hospitality! Everything was great and we appreciate you letting us stay there so much!
We went to a fun boutique of hand-crafted items and then had lunch. Our friend Lisa lost the diamond in her wedding ring at lunch. It was so sad!! We said a prayer that she would be able to find it and guess what?, it showed up on her bathroom counter today. Seriously. Miracles happen. We looked everywhere! I don't know how it ended up there besides a complete miracle. I am so happy that she found it. It gives me hope that a miracle can happen for me too.
After lunch, we went to Hobby Lobby and shopped and then headed to the mall. It was so much fun to shop without kids and to have no time restraint put on us. We think that we need to have one of these retreats at least every 6 months! It was definitely therapeutic for me!! Thanks to Cass and Erin for all the planning. It was such a fun time! Can't wait till the next getaway!

After my little Vegas weekend with my girls I have decided it needs to become a yearly thing at the very least! It's nice to feel so carefree and young for a day or two! I have to say I agree with you on the Bella thing. I swear she has a lazy eye or something cuz she always looks cross-eyed to me! Wierd. Glad you had a fun weekend with your girlfriends!

Thanks for sending all these pics to us. It really was the best weekend and I think we need to do it often! And as I said in my email and Erin said on her comment, miracles really happen & I really felt like this happened to let you know it and to continue to have hope! I know Erin saw it at the boutique, but there is even proof that it was with me the night before in one of these pics you posted.
You nerds! Just teasing, that really does sound like the perfect therapy.
