Here are the twins at 1 year. They have grown up so much!

Here's Davin playing the "Dino-relay". The kids had to run with the dino feet on carrying the "egg". It was hilarious. I guess it was harder to run in those things than I thought.

Finding dino bones and fossils in the sandbox.

The "Dino-dig" cake I found on Family Fun. It turned out pretty good I thought. The bones are made of sugar cookies and the dirt and rock are made from Deluxe Grahams crushed up and sprinkled on top. I added powdered sugar to the bones to make them whiter. It was a really simple cake to make.

We headed to Grandma's house and celebrated more there. Here is Aaron blowing out the candle. Notice Grandma's nice new granite counter tops. They are in the process of re-modeling their home and adding an addition so we can have more parties! We were glad we could help a little with their project. Can't wait to see it all done!!

My Grandma's birthday is one day before the twins and she invited us all to dinner to celebrate. Grandma turned 81 year old and loved having her family there to celebrate and honor her. My Grandma is one of my best friends. I can call her and chat for hours. She is so smart and funny and always seeking the finer things in life. She loves music and art and can play the piano very well. (wish I would have stuck with piano lessons, I can't play anything) She is generous and loving. I love her so, so much! Thank you Grandma for all you do for us!

I can't believe Aaron and Collin just turned 5 years old! I still remember the day they were born like it was yesterday. It was such a great Father's Day present for Jason that year! It was amazing that they were born so healthy a month early and without a C-section! Despite how tiny they were, (5 lbs 2 oz & 5 lbs. 5 oz.) they have grown up so much and are so smart. I am constantly amazed with the things they know and can do. Aaron is our little fireball. He is funny and outgoing and loves to ride his bike, scare mom by doing front flips on the trampoline, take notes in his notebook and search for things to add to his treasure box. Collin is sweet and loving and is always helping Nathan do things. He loves to ride his bike too, play in the sandbox, build things with legos and fish in the ditch. (which really means get muddy in the ditch) They have brought so much happiness to our lives over the past 5 years. I can't imagine life without them.
The twins wanted a Dinosaur party and I had SO much fun with the theme!! Here are the invitations I made.

The back of the invitations

The treat bags and fossils. I made the fossils out of play dough and painted with acrylic paint. The dino eggs are just Easter eggs with acrylic sponged on. There were dino stickers, plastic dinosaurs, dino-capsules, and dino-eggs filled with candy inside.

You are so creative!! My heck I'm the kind of mom that just orders all the premade crap online. I wish I would have gotten some of those creative genes!
